Thanksgiving Week

Happy thanksgiving wreath with colorful leaves and berries

By Roger Duffield CPCU, ARM

We have a fair number of staff members that are taking much-needed PTO this week. So, I thought this would be a great way to publicly give thanks to the many people that are a big influence on me and in2vate.

From a professional standpoint, we have the most amazing clients. They are willing to sit down with us and provide honest, positive, and constructive feedback. We have invited them to discuss the future of insurance, risk management, and safety with our staff. Thank you, for your willingness to openly communicate with us.

There are also many friends of in2vate that we have asked to join us and share their input. These are people that have no vested interest in what we ask of them. They are industry leaders that are willing to share their insight. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule and for your endless contributions.

Our amazing vendors, who are willing to help us at every turn. We ask them to be critical of us as well as critical of themselves so that we can improve. We know this is difficult and there needs to be a high level of trust. We are honored to have your trust – thank you so much!

To the most amazing staff in the world: I know there are many great people that are willing to go the extra mile, but I can say ours goes two miles! They are all tasked to make sure that each interaction we have with our clients is positive. While at the same time, we ask them to help create the vision our many clients and friends have helped us develop. They do that every day with a smile on their face (or at least I like to think that!) Thank you for your tireless work and doing so even when you each have your own challenges to face when you leave work at the end of the day. It does not go unnoticed! Thanks again!

To my personal friends and faith community, you are of great inspiration every day, helping those around you. When my wife and I were faced with a personal medical challenge with our daughter this year, each of you stepped up, with prayers, conversation, and even financial support. It made a very difficult situation a reminder of how blessed we are! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

My wife, Kristin, and I celebrated 34 years of marriage this past weekend, as we often do, we took a trip down memory lane. We have been and continue to be very blessed with three fantastic children and three perfect grandchildren. If you were to call either of us in the evenings, you would likely be forced to have a conversation with both of us, often laughing and having fun. I could not ask for more. Thank you and I love you, Kristin!

As I write this post of gratitude, it is not lost on me that not everyone is as fortunate, and I find myself wanting to use what little influence that I may have to help others. I am very encouraged by the many caring people out there, many that I do not know personally but are helping others with their gifts and talents. Thank you for making a difference!

Happy Thanksgiving
