in2vate Client Update

This month I wanted to discuss a little bit about what we see with our clients. There always seems to be several common themes when we work with organizations for the first time. They often have an idea of what they want to accomplish but do not know how to accomplish their outcomes or doubt the possibility of success.

Sometimes those ideas are well thought out with clear objectives, other times they are a bit more fluid. What our clients find is that in2vate staff members are exceptional at listening and providing possibilities beyond the initial ask. By the time the first meeting ends our clients are beginning to solidify their vision and objectives.

In2vate is unique in that we know most problems will have an educational component. Sometimes that education is obtained through the collection of data, allowing clients or internal decision makers to become “educated” on the risks that are faced individually or aggregately.  One of our favorite parts of the discussion is when our clients, who typically have had one or more bad experiences with technology providers have the realization that this sounds custom.  Our response is the same, we dislike custom technology as much as our clients. Custom technology is only for those who want to pay on-going maintenance: At in2vate we individualize technology based on desired outcomes and workflow of our clients.

Since 1984, the Park District Risk Management Agency (PDRMA) has been a recognized leader in the public entity pooling community and in 2018 we sought to improve the effectiveness of our 10 year-old loss control program. After searching for suitable systems to implement this new process, we selected In2vate.  We did so based on their expertise in the public entity risk pooling market space and their willingness to tailor their system to our fit our very specialized risk management needs. After 3 years, we are confident that our partnership with In2vate has helped build a risk management enterprise system that can meet our ambitious goals for the future. From the very beginning of our planning process, Roger Duffield and the team at In2vate listened closely to our needs and goal of helping us build a truly customized risk management solution for our members. In2vate became an active partner in developing a hybrid system for PDRMA that was designed with the assistance of the National Safety Council (NSC). There has been incredible behind-the-scenes support by the In2vate staff with a whole range of things like; coding, data mapping, SMART Goal integration and other complex processes.

Thanks to In2vate and Roger Duffield’s leadership, we have been able to continuously improve the design of this new process to the point where we now feel it will be significantly better than what was initially envisioned by the PDRMA staff when we first started out to design a new process back in 2017…
